10:59 am - And here we go...room making Tiger look presidential.

11:00 am - I see Tim Finchem and Notah Begay III in the crowd there.  Looking like they're attending a wake.

11:02 am - Woods comes out looking contrite.  "Every one of you has a reason to be critical of me."  "I am deeply sorry."

11:03 am - "Real apology will not come in the form of words, but behavior over time."

11:05 am - "I have embarrassed that I have put you in this position."

11:05 am - Here comes Tiger's explanation of Elin's behavior.  "Elin never hit me that night or any night."  With serious emphasis.  Upset about the "fabrication" of that story.

11:06 am - "I convinced myself that normal rules did not apply."

11:07 am - "The same boundaries that apply to everyone apply to me."

11:08 am - "It's up to me to live a life of integrity."  Said as the camera shows the disapproving glare of his mother.

Still like the guy

I’d guess most (male) Tiger fans pre-meltdown are still fans today. My sense is that there’s a gender divide on this. (Rick Reilly teeing off from the reds.)

Congrats on the blog launch. I missed the presser — this was helpful.

You ain't hurt...

Well done Ryan. Sorry your new assn. decided to boycott. Would have been fun to see you there.

Give us three questions you have asked: IF GWAA was there, and IF Mr. Woods Inc. allowed questions.

Pretty "meh" reaction from me

He obviously read a statement word for word and spent half the presser looking down at his script. About the only thing he could say from memory was “I’m sorry.” Whether that means he simply didn’t want to make a mistake or was nervous, it came across pretty fake to me. He certainly wasn’t speaking from the heart, but I guess at least this is a step in the right direction.
