Tavistock Cup Website Tips Tiger's First Stop in Comeback
The PGA Tour has gone out of its way since November to keep Tiger Woods out of its commercials and promotional materials. Tour VP Ty Votaw has indicated that they have been doing that in the interest of protecting Woods' request for privacy. While the Tavistock Cup is not an official PGA Tour event, it is subtly linked on the PGA Tour's schedule page as an unofficial event.
That connection to the PGA Tour, then, makes this banner on the Tavistock Cup site seem much more telling about Tiger Woods' pending return.
Woods is clearly featured - and prominently so - with good friend Mark O'Meara who told Golf Channel that he would not be surprised if Woods competed in the hit-'n'-giggle.
There is no such visual cue on the Arnold Palmer Invitational site, though Tiger Woods' victory photo from last year is on the site.

There are so many rumors about Tiger Woods lately that I am even tired of them. I can’t understand why people can’t leave him alone and respect his privacy? Why do have to discuss his partnership with other women or so on? I think that is is his own choice how to live and that’s all. We are fans of golf so we must watch how he is playing golf, not his life. I think that Tiger together with Roger Federer are the best sportsmen in the world and we must respect them till the end of the life. There is no surprise that these two are friends too. Thanks for the nice article and keep writing only GOOD news about Tiger in the future. I will cheer for him on the golf courts after his return.
