President Obama on Tiger: Tiger Acknowledged That "He Betrayed His Family"

After a Golf Digest story surfaced that indicated that President Barack Obama placed a call to Tiger Woods in an expression of support for the golfer, the White House denied that call ever took place.  Golf Digest retracted that part of its story.

Yesterday, though, Barack Obama did open up briefly on Tiger Woods as part of a comprehensive interview with Fox News' Brett Baier.

Obama said of Tiger: "I think that Tiger has acknowledged that he betrayed his family, and that's a personal issue that he's gotta work out. I hope they've worked it out. I'm sure he's still going to be a terrific golfer."

I'm not sure how this slipped in during a discussion of critical health care reform vital to the future of our country, but hey, there's gotta be some kind of health care angle in there.
