AP: ESPN, Golf Channel to Conduct Tiger Interviews Tonight
The Associated Press' Doug Ferguson is reporting that Tiger Woods will be interviewed by ESPN and Golf Channel in back-to-back interviews this evening. Ferguson reports that Woods' first interview with be with Tom Rinaldi of ESPN around 7pm ET, then with Golf Channel's Kelly Tilghman - a long time pal of Woods in the media - at 7:30pm ET.
Tilghman was lambasted for comments that she made on Golf Channel air in 2008 in reference to Tiger Woods' competition perhaps wanting to "lynch him in a back alley."
Tiger Woods' agent Mark Steinberg quickly responded in a statement that it was a non-issue for Tiger, saying, "Tiger and Kelly are friends, and Tiger has a great deal of respect for Kelly."
Clearly, that's still the case.
