Hank Haney Spotted at Isleworth With Tiger
Golf Channel reported yesterday that sources tell them that Hank Haney has been spotted with Tiger Woods on the Isleworth driving range. The sighting was reported to have taken place over the weekend.
Sports by Brooks first reported that Haney was being summoned to Florida to help Woods following the Champions Tour's Toshiba Classic.
All signs point to Woods' return being sooner than later. As to which event will mark his return is still subject of much conjecture. The rumor from TMZ all along has been that it would be the unofficial Tavistock Cup - a hit-'n'-giggle between Woods' Isleworth club and Lake Nona in Orlando. Some have said that is a warm-up for the Bay Hill tournament, others for the Masters. I have indicated all along that Woods will return at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
Curiously, the PGA Tour's agreement with PING to close the Ping Eye 2 wedge loophole created by a 1993 legal settlement kicks in on March 29 - the day after the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
