Bet the Mortgage, Dog, & Wife on Tiger Winning the Masters

Though there has been no official indication - one way or the other - about Tiger Woods playing in the Masters, online sportsbook Bodog is going to go ahead and give me you, the degenerate gambler, odds for his participation.

Tiger Woods goes off at 11/4 (bet four, he wins, you get 11+4 for 15) for the Masters.  He would have been 3/2 before this whole to-do, says sportsbook manager Richard Gardner:

"Obviously the layoff and media distractions are expected to have an impact on Tiger Woods and how books and bettors think he will perform.  Prior to all this Tiger would have been 3/2 to win the Masters, but now sits at 11/4 and we expect more handle on all competitors (including Tiger) as people's opinion vary on how Tiger comes back."

The over/under on his returning first round to Augusta (if it happens)? 70.  I would bet the house on the over since he traditionally fares poorly in the opening day.

I'm no gambler

but if TW were to play Bay Hill and do well, those odds will change quite a bit. If not I may be tempted to drop a few bucks on those odds, just for the heck of it. It is hard to imagine, (even for me) TW could come back, play Bay Hill then win the Masters despite all that has happened, but with Tiger you just never know.

Fight for your opinions, but do not believe that they contain the whole truth, or the only truth.

Well, he won Bay Hill last year and the Masters? Not so much.
